Sundae

Been so long since my last entry. Last week I ada cakap nak buat few things but I hanya mampu merancang.. Allah yang menentukan. I had my menses so I tak dapat buat la puasa straight seminggu 😑 I dapat few days jela but its ok. Effort is what matters kan.

16 days till Ramadhan. I dah dapat satu shake recipe using c&c which memang sedap. I think for Ramadhan, I akan all out jelah diet kan. Ada around sebulan setengah lagi so.. sempat sangat nak shed few more kgs. Since I first started my weight loss journey on early Feb'21, I have shed a total of almost 10kgs of weight. Insyaallah if I keep going doing things that I have learned from the support group, I'll be alright.

Last week jugak, my husband passed his assessment.. which die takut sangat tu. Because his superior and few of his colleague pun ada yang have to repeat the assessment again. But he did it the first time. I genuinely happy for him. 

His birthday is coming.. I had few activities planned already. So I hope all went as plan lah. I still follow diet, I would not say it is diet lah.. not strict coz u still have to stuff yourself with food. Cuma I dah belajar makan dengan portion yang betul, makan benda yang betul.. without having to suffer from starvation.

Bekal I the other day.. masa dekat office. Yep, I actually dah mula rasa selesa makan macam ni. 

Weekend jugak I met my fren from uni.. we brought the kids to KL Bird Park. They had fun! Not our first time pun datang sini but this time I baru perasan ada hornbill. Amazed jap tengok. Super duper cantik.

Later on, we went off to kedai bunga favourite i. Sampai my daughter cakap mama kalau masuk kedai bunga mesti lama sebab tak tau nak pilih yang mana. Semua cantik2. 

Choice for the week

I ni normally bila masuk kedai akan terus nampak benda yang I nak. Means I dah grab this orange roses. Lepastu melilau lagi cari mana tahu nak tukar... then orange tadi letak balik. Somehow, after a while I mesti akan ambil balik orange tu semula sebab selalunya I akan patah balik dekat first choice I. I tak puas hati if tak pergi cari bunga lain tu yang jadi lama tu. Sedangkan if terus ambil je n bayar bunga first choice I tu, dah setel lama dah. Masalah orang perempuan kan.

That sum up last week punya cerita. Oh ya.. Neelofa dah kahwin semalam! I'm so so happy for her. Semoga perkahwinannya diberkati dan dilimpahkan rahmat oleh Allah swt. 

Husband I nak balik Khamis ni. So today jela last chance I nak kemas rumah before dia balik. Weekdays I kerja, memang tak lah nak kemas rumah teruk2. Till then, bye.

Goods and services tax (GST)

At first, I don't understand what GST is. Apa bezanya dengan SST (Sales and Service Tax) yang ada sekarang? Forgive me for being ignorance tapi GST is everywhere now (2014) and I guess it's the time for me to look thoroughly what it is all about. Actually the first ever interview I've been after finishing my final paper in uni is with Ernst & Young as GST consutant back in 2010. No wonder why I did not make it in the second round as I have no idea what is it hahahaha... Whatever. It is good to know that the industry player is getting ready for this moment wayyyyyy back then.

GST

GST falls under indirect tax atau cukai tidak langsung. Registration deadlines for businesses with income more than RM500,000 is at 31st December 2014. The actual implementation is on 1st April 2015. However, for business which has turnover of less than RM500,000 have the voluntary option to register.

Failed to register can cause fine ranging from RM1,500 to RM 20,000 with effect after the date of official implementation of GST.

Those who register are eligible to charge GST to their customer, however, those who did not register have no other option but to absorb GST as consumer.

I can say that SST is single stage tax whereas GST is actually a multi stage taxation, with every level included such as manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers and consumers

Types of supply

1. Standard rate supply (6%)
2. Zero rated supply - not collect GST on supplies but entitled to claim credit tax input used in the course of furtherance of business.
3. Exempt supplies - not collect GST. Not eligible to claim tax credit on input
4. Supplies not within the scope of GST - eg. service provided by government, sales incurred from a place outside Malaysia

The keywords to understand here is kredit cukai input atau input tax credit. I am too lazy to demonstrate in graphic but lets just say, for instance, a wholesaler (W) who is registered for GST bought its supplies from manufacturer (M) (also register for GST) for a value of RM 100,000. Therefore, in M's invoice stated that W have to bear GST of 6% (RM 6,000).

After that, W sold its supplies to retailer (R) for a total invoice value of RM150,000. That means, R have to bear GST of 6% as well (RM9,000). W is eligible for input tax credit of RM6,000 for supplies bought from M, which means the GST remit is RM 3,000 by wholesaler instead of RM6,000 (RM9,000 - RM6,000). Got it?

I can conclude that, in GST tax is fairly distributed all the way until it reaches the final stage in the chain which is the consumer. 

Kebaikan GST

By implementing GST, it will lower business cost, enhance global competitiveness, enhance compliance, reduce red tape, fair pricing, greater transparency.

It is obviously not me, myself making up all these points. When I understand GST, I know all the above is very logic. Why? Should I elaborate more? Hahahaha... 

1. Lower business cost. Remember that I point out about kredit cukai input? Yea, thanks u got the idea.
2. Enhance global competitiveness. Trading outside Malaysia tak diimpose GST. Adalah cukai lain tapi later lah ya..
3. Enhance compliance. I think so as semua companies yang nak charge GST are required to register.. Where?? Di Custom Dept. of course. Can use manual post, TAP system (Tax payer access point) or walk in je.
4. Reduce red tape. Secara automatiknya ya.. Maybe tapi mungkin awal-awal mesti ada juga karenah.
5. Fair pricing. Yes, because tax is distributed fairly along the chain.
6. Greater transparency. Sebab of course company nak claim input tax credit, so have to disclose invoice kat kastam lah or whatever way they disclose so that they will be eligible for that. Kalau SST ada jer mamak charge ok. Tanpa register ke Kastam whatsoever so pendapatan negara tu sedikit sebanyak terbocor sebab sebagai pengguna do u really know yang mamak tu ada bayar ke SST to kastam? Atau dia charge other income je for SST yang dia kutip tu. Tapi GST, hopefully senarai company yang register akan boleh disemak dengan cepat lah so that peniaga tak sesuka hati charge GST even tak register.

Happy day

Today definitely brings significant impact on my future.

Thus, I'll mark it as one of the happiest day in my life in the year 2014. Alhamdulillah for this opportunity. Yes, there's a lot to be done. Just bringg it on! :)

Hopefully in the next 20 years when I look back at today's date, I would be grateful that I don't waste this chance to improve myself for the sake of myself, my family, my race, my religion and my nation.

Salam.. hehe tengok previous post aku rase nak gelak guling-guling. Hadoi nak bukak online shop tapi gamba kau ya ampun edit sampai juling. Betollah hari ini patut lebih baik dari semalam. Kalau semalam aku rasa gambar aku tangkap tu paling lawa hari ni aku rasa kesian kat aku sebab gambar sangat tak pro. Ok hari ni aku buat project recapture apa yang patut guna kamera yang sepatutnya. Hehehe..

Bawah ni hasil bidikan (ceh) jurugambar amatur iaitu aku la. Haha.. aku rase cantik kot. Kau rase? Tapi cantik la dari semalam hehe

Susah jugak nak jual barang online. Hari ni je aku dah beli 2 jenis barang. BELI ok. Tolonglah. Jauh menyimpang dah ni woii... Dah esok tutup sebelah mata. Fokus apa yang patut. 

Hari ni aku happy finally dapat tengok gigi anak aku dah nampak bayang2 nak keluar. Patut la meragam tak hengat.. Macam belangkas dah asyik nak melekat dengan aku je. Pasal gigi pun excited. Ke cemana? Ok bai!
